TEAM MEMBERSHIP

CORE and  RESERVES

Interested in becoming a member of the Texas Roughnecks Paintball Team? As a members you must participate in practices, local events, major scenario games around the DFW metroplex and occasional outside of Texas. Most practices and some events are held at DFW Adventure Park, in Roanoke Other events are held at Mount Pleasant (Viper) and at Oklahoma D-day.

CORE PLAYERS

1. Smartparts and Hammerhead logos must be displayed on your forum signature.


2.
Must make 3 games that the core is planning on attending in a year.
Out of the 3 games, there will be 1 mandatory game starting in 2009.

To gain core status, you’ll have to participate with the team for a year.
After the first 6 months, the core members will hold vote on admissions. There must be a unanimous decision reached to allow entrance. The next 6 months, you’ll be on probation until you reach a year’s total time.

All core members will wear the same jersey.

Being part of the core, you are expected to hold a higher standard of sportsmanship on and off the field at all times

Being part of the core, all members will be asked for a donation to keep the website running (which is $135 a year.) There’s not a set amount to give and it’s due no later than Sept 1st of each year. Also, any project the core whats to invest in or build, donations will be asked for.


7.
Any of the rules that you don’t uphold will prevent you from getting any discounts from our sponsors and could result in your loss of core status.


8.
As a core member, you’re asked to insure that all who run with or under the Texas Roughnecks name are displaying good sportsmanship on and off the field. If not, bring it to the core’s attention so those involved can be removed.


9.
Every core member, at some point, will have the opportunity to run a squad during games. We will have no permanently assigned squad leaders in the core. Everyone will be equal and follow whoever is 'holding the ball' at any given game.


10.
Being part of the core you're expected to attend online meetings. We have a live chat area on the forum and will have at least 1 meeting a month there.


11.
Unless otherwise specified, "Field Only" paint must be used at games.

12. Never bring off field paint to any scenario event.

13. No bashing other teams, members, sister teams, sponsors or fields on the open forum. Even though some teams do, we don't allow it here. Go to the core area to discuss any problem you may have present or past or PM Hornet, Hardshell or God and we'll discuss it from there.

14. Never speak for the team to sponsors or fields without Hardshell or Hornets approval.

RESERVES PLAYERS

Joining as a member of the Reserves, allows you to check out the team before committing to a greater participation. It also gives you the opportunity to play occasionally with a topnotch team. Reserve players attend as they are able, on an event-by-event basis. Even though you're not a full time core player, as long as you are running under the ROUGHNECKS name, you must follow the team rules. If you do not, you'll be ask to leave and will be removed from the forum.

If your planning on being in the reserves and running under the roughnecks name its required that you purchase and wear a reserve style jersey, contact Hardshell for more info on that.

You will not receive any benefit or discounts as the core members do.

TEAM RULES

All person / members must agree to abide by the following team rules while running under the Roughnecks name.

1. Wear a safety mask at all times during game play and while on the playing field.

2. Use a barrel sock to cover the paintball marker when not in play.

3. Don't shoot within 20 feet of an opponent. Follow field rules or scenario game rules when playing against other teams.

4. Don't make aggressive physical contact or use abusive language toward other players or referees.

5. No overshooting (shooting the same player an excessive number of times). If you overshoot a player because you didn't hear them call themselves "Out," apologize and go on with the game. If you're out, hold your marker up high and yell loudly, "Out!"

6. No wiping off paint during a game.

7. No alcohol during game play .

8. Never bring off-field paint to any event.

9. Represent the Texas Roughnecks Paintball Team positively by following all team rules or the field's rules of play.

10. Be willing to follow the leadership of the squad commanders.

11. Show good sportsmanship to other teams - win or lose.

12. Refer any problem with another team member, referee, player or field to the squad commanders and refrain from trying to settle it yourself.

13. If you break a rule, abide by the decision of the team members concerning your player status.

14. Always remember that you are representing the team and our sponsors at all times.

15. Have fun and allow other players to enjoy themselves by playing safely and fairly.
